String Shelves by Nisse Strinning, Sweden

Categories: ,

Originally designed in 1949, Nisse Strinning’s String Shelves from Sweden have been  staple of modern design for decades and maybe the first to employ the coated wire frame that has become ubiquitous. This set is of recent production, and consists of 2 full bays, one 24″ wide and one 32″ wide. There are 6 extra white shelves if buyer would prefer all white, and there is an extra rail so they can be configured as seen, as two separate units or as a 3 bay unit. As seen it measures 54 3/4w X 12 1/4d X 79″h, and is in excellent condition. $400/bay or $750 all.
