Spaghetti Chairs by Giandomenico Belotti for Alias from the 1970s. Originally named the “Odessa” chair, it was immediately renamed after exhibiting in New York. “Spaghetti” refers to the pasta-like strips of PVC. The cords are slightly stretchy to allow the seat and back to conform for comfort while seated. This iconic design by Belotti was part of the initial 1960s movement towards incorporating plastic in everyday domestic furniture. In very good condition. 33 in.Hx17.75 in.Wx15.5 in.D.
