Solid Teak Extension Table by Spivak

Categories: ,

Solid Teak Extension Table imported in the mid 60s by Leo Spivak Furniture NYC, most likely imported from Denmark. Solid teak makes this table quite unusual as most midcentury modern furniture of this ilk was made with veneers. They were easier to work with, cheaper and were conducive to the straight lines of modern design. This table has a deeply beveled, rounded edge which displays the end grain of the solid teak beautifully. It’s 42″ round with 2 X 19 3/4″ leaves, making it 82″ long fully extended. In excellent condition, it has been recently re-oiled. $2,195.
