Set of Nine Capiz Shell Placemats from 1980 by Balos, Philippines. A very good example of artisanal handwork and quality- with hand cut pieces fanning outward and ending in a zigzag reminiscent of a sunburst. Mats are heavy and well backed with cork. In excellent condition they measure 13 X 19. $250 all.
