Early and rare Aluminia Denmark lidded box from the Aluminia (later brandname Royal Copenhagen) “Tenera” series with handpainted decor depicting the 3 wise men. The shape was designed in 1958. The decor design is by artist Beth Breyen and from ca 1960s. This piece is from the early production with Aluminia backstamp. From 1969/70 the production of this series was continued with the Royal Copenhagen brandname. In excellent original condition with light crazing. Measures 3 3/4 X 5 X 2 1/2″h.
