Eames Aluminum Group Management Chair by Herman Miller in Brown

Categories: ,

Their Aluminum Group Collection (1958) began as a special project for Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard, who needed seating for a house they were designing for J. Irwin Miller. Shifting from the idea of a chair as a solid shell, the Eameses combined newly affordable aluminum with a sling seat that subtly conforms to the body’s shape. In soft brown leather, this chair, in very good condition with some small marks on the leather and scratches along the outside edge of the right arm, dates to 2010, and is well marked with Herman Miller tags.
