1950s Vintage Wood Frame Webbed Lounge Chair

Categories: ,

Wood Frame Webbed Lounge Chair by an unknown designer/maker from the 1950s. A museum quality example of modern design, the chair is made with minimal materials, is simple and modestly elegant. The design is beautifully evocative and is well executed as exemplified by the fact that the chair is tight, strong and sturdy still. Reminiscent of early Knoll, Jens Risom, Ralph Rapson, Robert Kayton and Pierre Jeanneret, but unlike most of those chairs the legs are tapered dowels. Webbing all original. In excellent original condition it measures 21ʺW × 26ʺD × 30ʺH.
