1960s Acrylic / Plastic Sculpture by Walter Stein

Acrylic / Plastic Sculpture titled "Spring Wind" by Walter Stein (1924-1998), made in 1969 by Artmongers. Stein is best known for his wood cuts which appear in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Consists of two cut squares of amethyst colored plastic, nested in two walnut blocks, which the viewer can arrange in various configurations for different perspectives. A whimsical piece of decorative art evoking a combination of both Vasarelly and Matisse.Measures 3 X 9 X 10"h. SOLD.
