John Stuart Walnut and Mahogany Dining Table

Categories: ,

This John Stuart Walnut and Mahogany Dining Table was made in the late 1950s. John Stuart was a distributor, and would commission various makers and designers both here and abroad. This table has no manufacturer’s stamp, but I would say that it was probably made by John Widdicomb. As seen, the top is walnut and the band and apron are mahogany. The pie shaped veneer-work when the table is small is striking and well done. The table is in good condition, with a couple small scratches, and a veneer chip on the leaf. Measures 44″ round X 29″ high, and one 24″ leaf.
