Habitat Chrome and Plastic Articulating Floor Lamp

Categories: ,

Habitat Chrome and Plastic Articulating Floor Lamp from the 1970s, designed by Paul Mayan for Sir Terrence Conran’s Habitat stores. One of the finer examples of Mayan’s work beginning with the well chromed i-beam style base, the thin stem and the combination of aluminum and plastic at the head, with special attention to detail at every turn, including the oversized switch and the capped end of the plastic cylinder. Stands about 54″ tall, and operates via a three way switch controlling an up and down socket. In excellent condition, it has two pings along the aluminum cylinder.
