In 1952 Bertoia, while working for Florence and Hans Knoll, was given the freedom to work on whatever suited him, without being held to a strict design agenda, and the result of this arrangement was the Bertoia Seating Collection. This collection of wire chairs allowed Bertoia to spend the rest of his life pursuing his passion of welded, bronze sculpting. These chairs are made by Knoll, are 10-20 years old and are in good condition. Some are marked and some date back to before marking and have a different (and correct) manufacturing design H 28.75" W 21.75" D 19.75" Seat H 17.75". $500 ea. Just two left.
